Chess Seminars/Tournaments
Chess is not well known in Japan.  Our goal is to teach chess to Japanese kids who do not know the game and learn the skills to complete in tournaments internationally.  The lessons will be conducted in English and any non-Japanese children who are interested in learning chess are also welcome.

Karate 空手
Ishikawa Sensei is offering instruction for both kids and adults in our local community. Immerse yourself in Japanese culture through expert guidance in Japanese (and English, when appropriate), providing a unique and enriching cultural experience.

Free 5-Week Chess Boot Camp

Dates:3/11/23-4/8/23 (Saturdays) 5:30-6:30 pm

Thank you for your support! We offered a free 5-week chess boot camp geared towards beginners. The program was a great success and we were able to spread our love of chess to many new youth players! All of the recordings are shown below. We learned that there is a great demand in the Japanese community for chess. Moving forward, we hope to continue spreading the love of chess, and expand this idea to board games of great heritage: shogi and go.
